I am sad to advise you that DFWAQ Executive Vice-President, and former President, Rob Shortridge passed away on 15 February.
Since being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year, Rob fought valiantly and in true form held out well past the average time for the stage of this disease. He continued to show interest in and contribute to the work of DFWA throughout and into this year.
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday 8th March at 2:00 pm at Archerfield Jet Base, Hangar 5 Qantas Avenue, Archerfield Airport, followed by a flypast and short reception.
A Poppy Service conducted by DFWA will form part of the commemoration of Rob’s life. Veterans are requested to wear medals.
